Halloween

Halloween was a good time. We had some AWESOME trick or treaters and then went, as one of our friends put it, "reverse trick or treating." We made some fun treat bags for family and then drove them around. It was a fun to see everyone (at least everyone that answered the door . . . Jeremy and Kedra)

For family night we carved some pumpkins with one of Tyler's friends from school and his wife. We had a great time, ate some tasty pumpkin dessert and got some awesome salsa (Thanks Youngs!) Anyway, we thought the jack-o-lanterns turned out pretty dang good, so we thought we would show off our handy work.

We had a great Halloween, but drove past some scandalous party, and let's just say we are both glad that we are married and don't have to worry about the dumb single life. What is it about Halloween that makes people think that they do not need to use clothing?!?!?! Well apparently even here in Provo, BYU students feel the need to be naked. (They would get along great with one of the canidates for San Francisco Mayor - see the Stephanie and Will Kearl blog for more details) They were nearly nude and definatly lewd! It really was disturbing.

Family Dinner

Tyler's younger brother Steven recently got engaged and we decided to throw an engagement dinner/celebration for them. It was a good time, and we decided to get some fun pictures of us making stuffed mushrooms and chicken parmigiana. It was way tasty and a good time. It had been too long since we had used the hats.

There were 12 people that came and it was fun, but a little crowded in our little apartment. Plus we had some awesome leftovers. It is hard to judge how much to cook for 12 people when you are used to cooking for 2 (or 2 and a half right now ;) hehe) It is especially hard when one of those 2.5 people is Tyler.
